A walkthrough of opening the Manage Skills form from your teacher dashboard and reviewing the six preference categories — Accents, Teaching Level, Learner Ages, Lesson Types, Subjects, and Test Preparations — selecting the options that match your teaching style, and saving your updated preferences.
Sign in to your teacher dashboard and go to Profile, then select Preferences to open the Manage Skills form. The form shows six checkbox groups covering every aspect of your teaching style — from the accents you teach to the tests you help students prepare for.
The first two groups let you specify your accent and the teaching level you offer. Tick each option that applies — you can select more than one. These appear on your public profile and help learners find the right teacher for their needs.
The Learner Ages group lets you specify the age ranges you teach — such as children, teenagers, or adults. The Lesson Types group shows the formats you offer, for example one-to-one or group sessions. Tick all that apply to your teaching practice.
The Subjects group lists the topics you teach. The Test Preparations group covers any examinations or certifications you help learners prepare for. Select every subject and test type you are qualified and comfortable teaching — this helps match you with relevant learners.
Once you have ticked your preferences across all six groups, click Save to update your profile. Your selected preferences appear on your public teacher page and are used by the search system to match you with learners looking for your specific teaching style and expertise.
