A Pakistani Qur'an teacher born in Lahore who took the readings and tajwid from Qari Abd al-Malik and studied hadith with Muhammad Idris al-Kandhlawi. He taught at the Madrasa Tajwid al-Qur'an in Lahore from 1957, moved to Medina in 1410 AH and taught at the Prophet's Mosque until he died there. He wrote Tartil al-Qur'an and an Urdu translation of al-Jazari's Muqaddima.
