My name is Yusif, and I am a Canadian teacher of the Islamic sciences with a strong background in Arabic and classical Islamic studies. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto, which gave me a solid foundation in the languages, history, and cultures of the Muslim world.

After graduating, I moved to Egypt in 2018 to immerse myself in the Arabic language and Islamic sciences, and I have been living and studying here ever since. I completed Fajr Institute’s Arabic program in Cairo as the top‑performing student, and I now teach Arabic alongside Qur’ān and ḥadīth to students around the world.

For the past three years, I have worked professionally as an Arabic–to–English translator of Islamic texts, which has helped me bridge classical scholarship with modern audiences. I have been teaching Qur’ān online to students in the United States and Canada for over eight years, and I also teach Arabic and ḥadīth in both one‑on‑one and group settings.

I hold an ijāzah in the Ten Qirāʾāt (ten canonical Qur’ānic recitations), and I am committed to teaching Qur’ān, Arabic, and the Islamic sciences with precision, clarity, and care.
