Qur'anic recitation is a mode of pronouncing the words of the Qur'an, attributed to one of the imams, differing from others in the manner and method of pronouncing the letters, or in the aspects related to pronunciation, while the chains and narrations about it agree. A reading is what is attributed to one of the imams of recitation.
