Ahmad ibn Muhammad, known as Salmuna, was an Egyptian Maliki Qur'an teacher of the thirteenth Hijri century. He took the fourteen readings from Ibrahim al-Ubaydi and also read with Sulayman al-Baybani. He became the leading authority on the readings in Egypt in his day; Ahmad al-Durri al-Tihami was among his students.
