Abu al-Baqa Hasan ibn Ali ibn Yahya al-Ujaymi, of Yemeni origin and born in Mecca, was the leading transmitter of the Hijaz in his time. He taught in the Sacred Mosque and wrote works including 'Ihda' al-Lata'if min Akhbar al-Ta'if'. Ibn Aqila al-Makki was among his students. He died in Ta'if in 1113 AH.
