An exact Egyptian reader and hadith transmitter, known as Ibn al-Imam, who was the leading reader and holder of the highest chains in Egypt in his day. He read Warsh's transmission to Abu Bakr ibn Sayf and others, transmitted the letters via al-Nahhas from al-Azraq, and Ahmad ibn Nafis was the last to read to him. He died in Egypt in Rabi' al-Awwal 381 AH, aged about ninety.
