حفص بن سليمان بن المغيرة الكوفي

Biography

The best-known transmitter of the reading of Asim, who was also his stepfather; a Kufan who knew Asim's reading better than anyone and led the readers of Kufa after him. He taught in Baghdad and in Mecca, many took from him, and most printed Qur'ans today follow his transmission.
