Egyptian Qur'an teacher from Samannud (Gharbia), who lived to about ninety-three. He read the Qur'an and the qira'at with Ibrahim Sa'd al-Banawi al-Samannudi and Azab Abu Hatim al-Samannudi; Ibrahim Ali Shahata al-Samannudi was among his best-known students. He died in Dhu al-Qa'da 1371 AH (August 1952).
