He wrote Rawdat al-Huffaz on the readings, known as Rawdat al-Mu'addal, which is one of the source paths for the Hafs transmission via al-Fil and Zar'an from Amr ibn al-Sabbah. Mansur ibn al-Khayr al-Maghrawi al-Ahdab of Malaga read with him.
