Islamic universities, institutes and shuyukh all keep their students' ijazat in their own records, where no one outside can see them. This register brings these ijazat together in one verified place and connects their chains across countries, so the world can see your students' achievements.
Most ijazat are paper that can be lost or damaged. The register keeps them permanently.
Once a shaykh has passed away, an ijazah is often hard to prove. The register still stands as its witness.
The granting shaykh can confirm from his own account that he granted the ijazah.
The chain is shown shaykh by shaykh, all the way to the Prophet ﷺ.
Anyone can verify an ijazah from one link or QR code, instead of asking for the paper.
Every certificate is linked to the others, so chains are checked against each other: each match strengthens a chain, and a gap or conflict shows as a weakness. It gathers the chains of the people of the Qur'an in one place for the generations to come.
Each step is checked automatically: the date falls within the granting shaykh's lifetime, his name matches across certificates, and each link is attested by other documents and the printed books of chains.
Specialists read every certificate, and the granting shaykh's own confirmation counts according to his standing in the register.
The points add up to a trust grade for each certificate and for each shaykh in its chain, from recorded to verified, and it is recalculated whenever new evidence arrives.
A permanent page, number and QR code for each ijazah, which anyone anywhere can check.
A page for each shaykh with every ijazah he granted, his chains to the Prophet ﷺ, and his tree of students: who read with him, whom they went on to grant, and where in the world they are. It also shows the different forms of his name and his place in each chain.
Its own page that gathers the ijazat it has granted, seen by students and teachers around the world.
Upload them with your students' permission. It takes a few minutes and is free.
Each shaykh receives a private link to confirm the ijazat he granted, or to ask for a correction.
Name your institute and its page starts gathering the ijazat it has granted.
Teachers who know the sciences of isnad can help us read and check the chains.
We publish each certificate's main details with a confidence rating, built by comparing it with other certificates and with specialists in isnad around the world. The scan itself is shown only if its holder chooses.
The register records ijazat in Qur'an recitation only, and it takes time to build: recent ijazat are still being added. It is separate from earning an ijazah through Kuttab lessons, which has its own path.
