An Egyptian Azhari reciter who read the ten readings (Shatibiyya, Durra and Tayyiba routes) to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Mutawalli, and is described as the last of al-Mutawalli's students. Many read to him, most famously Shaykh Ahmad 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Zayyat, who took the minor and then the major ten from him. He died in 1369 AH.
