An Egyptian Qur'an reader from Idfina in the Rashid district of Beheira, born 1353 AH (1934). He read to Shaykh Muhammad Mahmud Shihab al-Din, taught the ten readings by the Shatibiyya and Durra, and was counted among those with high chains. He headed two recitation circles in Rashid and Idfina and then served as shaykh of the recitation circles of Beheira governorate; he died in June 2025, aged about ninety.
