Abd Allah ibn Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib, a Companion and cousin of the Prophet, known as the scholar of the community and interpreter of the Qur'an. He read the Qur'an with Ubayy ibn Ka'b and Zayd ibn Thabit, and many Successors took the reading from him. He died in Ta'if.
