Abd al-Rahman ibn Shihadha, known as al-Yamani, was the chief Qur'an reader of Egypt in his day and a Shafi'i jurist. He read with his father Shihadha al-Yamani and with Ahmad ibn Abd al-Haqq al-Sunbati among others; Muhammad al-Baqari and Ali al-Shabramallisi were among his students. He died suddenly in 1050 AH.
