Abu Ya'qub Ishaq ibn Ibrahim ibn Uthman al-Marwazi, later of Baghdad, known as al-Warraq, is the transmitter of the reading chosen by Khalaf ibn Hisham al-Bazzar. He was a precise and trustworthy reader who taught only Khalaf's choice. His son Muhammad and Ibn Abi Umar al-Naqqash read with him; he died in 286 AH.
