Shaykh Abd al-Fattah Madkur Bayyumi was an Egyptian reciter born in Abu al-Numrus, Giza, in 1932, who memorised the Qur'an as a child with his uncle Shaykh Hasan Bayyumi. He read a full Hafs recitation to Shaykh Ali Muhammad al-Dabba' and studied the Tuhfa and Jazariyya with him. He headed a Qur'an circle and founded a qira'at institute in his home town. He died on 23 Shawwal 1441 AH (June 2020).
