Abu al-Fadl Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Ghaznawi was a Hanafi jurist, exegete and teacher of the readings. Born and educated in Baghdad, where he heard from Abu Bakr al-Ansari and others, he later moved to Egypt, taught and narrated there, and died in Cairo.
