A walkthrough of opening the Upcoming Lessons list, finding a scheduled lesson with a Cancel button, opening the cancellation form in a popup, entering a cancellation reason, and stopping before confirming — noting that cancelling is irreversible and may trigger a refund.
Sign in to your teacher dashboard and open Lessons. The Upcoming tab shows your scheduled lessons. Each card displays the student name, subject, scheduled time, and action buttons including Cancel.
Each scheduled lesson card has a Cancel button. It may appear directly in the action bar or inside the More actions dropdown. Unlike learners, teachers have no cancellation deadline — you can cancel a lesson at any time before it starts.
Click Cancel to open the cancellation form in a popup. The form shows the lesson details and the applicable refund policy. If the lesson was paid and a refund applies, the refund percentage is displayed here before you decide to proceed.
The reason field is required before the form can be submitted. Type a short explanation — for example that an urgent conflict has arisen. The student will see this reason in the cancellation notification they receive.
Once a reason is entered the Submit button becomes active. Stop here — do not click it. Submitting cancels the lesson permanently, triggers any applicable refund to the student, and sends a cancellation notification. The lesson moves to the Past tab with a Cancelled status.
